October 17 2023: October News
Happy day 2 of fall break. I've been very unproductive so far. Tomorrow I have to take my senior pictures so I finally put in my laundry about an hour ago...I am pretty excited for that. I'm trying to make progress with my college essays. I'm finishing up my commonapp one right now and listening to Bikini Kill. I have been really into Bikini Kill and Le Tigre recently, and I think I mentioned it in a previous blog post, but they're serving as a huge songwriting inspiration for me. Band stuff is going well. We might not meet over the break but hopefully we'll meet this upcoming Sunday. Songwriting and poetry writing has seemed easier lately. We all have some song ideas. My goal for this week though is finishing urgent college stuff, and start a bunch of it, haha. I don't know if I'll apply to Pratt or not... Oh well. I need to order my transcripts and get my letters of rec too. Stressful. I only need 3 letters of rec for schools with later deadlines though, so I have time. I just can't remember how I'm supposed to order transcripts. I think the antidepressants are helping a lot though. I'm glad I'm on them. Not much of a downside. Oh! Also! I got tickets to see Thursday again! They're coming to Denver in February! Super excited about that, I've been dying to see them again since I saw them in June. I love that band a lot! I think I've blown my concert ticket budget for the year, I'll stop now. I need to get a job or something. I'm going to San Antonio in November and I'm gonna come back with lots of Mexican candy. Exciting stuff. I'll stop procrasinating and go finish my essay now so I can check that off my to-do list, and then I can start my Rutgers filmmaker inspiration essay and pull together a portfolio.
